In a major step towards bridging the technology gap across Nigeria academic spaces, the ETech/ICDL Train the Trainer (TTT) phase 3 workshop successfully hosted educators and technology leaders in Ilorin in a project driven by E-Tech Complete Solutions Limited—the local operating partner for the International Certification of Digital Literacy (ICDL) in a partnership campaign meant to strategically reshape digital workflows across Nigerian tertiary education and workforce.

The robust event brought together a total of 45 select participants drawn from nine front-line academic institutions including representatives from the University of Ilorin (Unilorin), Kwara State University (Kwasu), Kwara State Polytechnic (Kwarapoly), Federal Polytechnic Offa (Offapoly), Kwara State College of Education Oro, Kwara State College of Education Ilorin, University of Ibadan (UI), Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) and the Nigerian Army School of Education.

University of Ilorin director of ICT, Prof. Sidikat Aderinoye, presence, highlighted the strategic weight that university administrations are placing on internationally recognized IT certifications in an
event that featured incisive morning and afternoon training sessions.

Etech/ICDL facilitators engaged the participants in an interactive sessions covering tools, digital security and modern engagement technologies. The workshop was balanced with beautifully catered breakfast and lunch breaks, giving room for networking and collaborative discussions.

Etech/ICDL TTT workshop continue to make giant strides across the country in the bid to cement sustainable digital competencies nationwide, transforming how Nigerian scholars teach, learn and innovate.
